Mark Zuckerberg joins Google+, has more followers than Google CEOs

aaaaaFacebook CEO Mark Zukerberg has managed to amass more followers on Google+ than Google’s own leading men Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

aaaaaAccording to the stats, Zuckerberg has about 30, 000 followers, whereas Page and Brin have just about passed the 20, 000 mark. A more popular identity, a movie to his name and a more handsome face are cited as some of the reasons why this has happened so.

aaaaa“He has the most friends in the world,” said Boris Veldhuijzen, Google+ Statistics creator. “They made a movie about him, and he is more handsome than the Larry and Sergey.”

aaaaaWell, fair enough, we guess. The best part about the whole ironic bit, however, is that Zuckerberg has yet to make a post on Google+, and has never promoted his profile page through his social means.

aaaaaEarlier in the week, it was reported that Google+ had two fake Mark Zukerberg profile pages, before the third was confirmed by technology blogger Robert Scoble. Upon confirmation, Zuckerberg asked why people were surprised he had a Google+ account.

aaaaa

aaaaaMaybe because you own a competing website that Google is going after with all means it can muster up? Probably?
