Firm Apple supporter (ala Fanboys) are adamant that the Cupertinos cannot possibly release two iPads in the same year, breaking the sacred tradition of one series-product per year. However, rumors have been suggesting otherwise from the day it started and today DigiTimes adds another layer to it all over again.
According to the report, iPad 3 and iPhone 5 are ready to make their debuts in the September conference, and hit shelves from October onwards. The claim is backed up murmurs from the upstream suppliers which say they have started to prepare materials for the two products.aaaaa“Upstream component makers including Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), which is in charge of assembling the devices; Simplo Technologies and Dynapack International Technology, in charge of manufacturing batteries; TPK Holding and Wintek, in charge of touch panel modules; Catcher, in charge of chassis; and Largan Precision, in charge of webcams, are all expected to benefit from the orders.”aaaaaiPhone 5′s supply volume is expected to be around 6-7 million units in Q3, whereas iPad 3, coupled with shipments of the iPad 2, will push the iPad’s supply volume for 2011 to 40 million units.
