Qualcomm seems to be taking its competition very seriously as this latest roadmap (seen on Phandroid) seems to point out. The roadmap details plans for 1.5GHz to 1.7GHz dual-core chipsets by the end of this year. meaning we’ll be seeing them in phones by around Q1 of 2012. Also shown is the Adreno 225, the GPU said to be pitted directly against that powering the Playstation Vita’s. The biggest change, however, is the Adreno 3 series which is said to rival the GPUs powering the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3. Still more enticing news comes in the form of the chipsets planned for 2013. Namely, quad-core behemoths running at a clock speed of 2.0GHz to 2.5GHz. While this may seem like some pretty powerful computing, keep in mind that nVidia has promised quad core mobile computing by the end of this year. A promise that we will have to wait to see proven true. aaaaaQualcomm seems to be taking its competition very seriously as this latest roadmap (seen on Phandroid) seems to point out.
