SMS Spam Mulai Diberantas

Jakarta - Badan Regulasi Telekomunikasi Indonesia (BRTI) akhirnya mengambil langkah konkret untuk memblokir penyebaran SMS spam yang kerap bikin jengkel pengguna telekomunikasi. Dari hasil pertemuan antara BRTI dengan perwakilan konsumen dan operator, disimpulkan bahwa SMS spam yang digunakan untuk penawaran kredit tanpa agunan (KTA) dan kartu kredit sudah meresahkan pengguna layanan telekomunikasi dan berpotensi terjadi pelanggaran UU telekomunikasi No.36/1999 dan Peraturan Menkominfo No. 1/2009. "Karena itu, BRTI dan para operator akan berupaya melakukan beberapa langkah," papar Anggota BRTI Heru Sutadi kepada detikINET , Rabu (16/2/2011). Langkah awal yang akan ditempuh ialah melakukan pemblokiran terhadap SMS spam KTA, kartu kredit, dan sejenisnya, dengan firewall di sisi operator. Kemudian, BRTI juga akan membahas kembali metode pengiriman SMS lintas operator dalam penetapan interkoneksi SMS. Sebab, metode sender keep all (SKA) yang selama ini digunakan, dinilai telah menjadi pemicu SMS gratis untuk menyebar SMS sampah. "Terakhir, BRTI juga akan berkoordinasi dengan Bank Indonesia untuk mengetahui dan menyampaikan masalah penyebaran SMS KTA dan kartu kredit yang terutama dilakukan oleh bank-bank asing," tandas Heru.

London - Asosiasi sepakbola Inggris (FA) mengeluarkan pernyataan resmi terkait penggunaan jejaring sosial seperti Facebook dan Twitter. Pemain diingatkan untuk hati-hati berkomentar kalau tak mau dapat sanksi. Twitter, Facebook dan Blog telah jadi bagian yang tak terpisahkan dari pesepakbola Inggris saat ini. Bukan pemain saja, bahkan manajer Liverpool Kenny Dalglish juga punya akun twitter. Belakangan jejaring sosial tersebut mulai menimbulkan kontroversi. Salah satunya adalah akun twitter milik Ryan Babel, di mana dia memublikasi foto wasit Howard Webb yang 'didandani' dengan jersey Manchester United. Babel yang ketika itu masim memperkuat Liverpool dijatuhi denda 10.000 poundsterling. Mungkin didasari atas kejadian tersebut FA mengeluarkan peringatan terhadap pemain atau pelatih yang aktif di jejaring sosial. Ghonim diketahui menjadi salah satu pendiri grup Facebook yang memprotes kekerasan polisi yang menyebabkan gugurnya seorang aktivis. Grup itu disebut-sebut memiliki peran cukup besar dalam menyulut revolusi yang terjadi kemudian. Walau begitu, peran Google dalam revolusi juga tidak kecil.
