ZiiLABS, a subsidiary of Creative, manufactures ARM based Processors that are used in Creative’s ZiiO tablet. Mr. Hock Leow, the President at ZiiLABS unveiled their new ZMS-20 Dual ARM Cortex-A9 Media Processor that is optimized for Android 3.0 Honeycomb based tablets. He describes the ZMS-20 as the best chip they have done which, really does not mean much when your product portfolio consists on items less than the fingers on one hand.
Nevertheless, this supposedly Energy-Efficient CPU boasts an impressive Dual 1.5GHz Cortex A9 core with DDR3 and was specifically created for high resolution Android tablets with support for 1080p video and flash on the hardware level. Also expect HDMI 1.4 and OpenCL support.
