While the iPad currently continues to dominate the increasingly crowded tablet market, Nvidia chief Jen-Hsun Huang believes that Android will soon take over Apple’s much fought-for throne.
He told Reuters that an improved operating system and better applications will provide the required boost to take over the majority of the market share.
“The Android phone took only two and a half years to achieve the momentum that we’re talking about. I would expect the same thing on Honeycomb tablets,” he said.
With more and more manufacturers adopting Android for their tablet devices, the operating system may soon push over the iPad by just sheer numbers. However, will it be a quantity over quality, that’s to be seen.
