Shortly after Twitter announced it’s own photo sharing service (in partnership with Photobucket), TwitPic, a service that provided photo sharing service to Twitter, has launched it’s own micro-blogging website called Heello.
The service does not seem to be any different to Twitter, except for the fact that it’s basic functions are named differently. As such, tweets are called ‘ping’, retweets are called ‘echo’, and following is called ‘ listen’. It has the same 140 characters limit. User reference can be made by the ‘@’ symbol as well, and the homepage ‘pings’ all the updates to whomever you are listening to.
The only difference is that you can share your pings on Twitter and Facebook, however many other websites already provide a such a service, rendering Heello quite…pointless.
