HTC, the oft overlooked big player in the smartphone market seems to be quite adept at come-from-behind records. This latest one being the incredible sales figures they posted – $1.56 Billion
This number comes as more of a shock when you consider the fact that they almost doubled the sales numbers they posted last July. An impressing growth in a market dominated by the big three forces of Apple, Samsung and Nokia.
In a seemingly celebratory move on their part, HTC decided to buy itself a little gift. A gift, as reported in Engadget, which comes in the form of Dashwire, a cloud services company. A petty $18.5 million was spent on the acquisition
