Talk about confidence. At the shareholder meeting today, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer had quite a few words to hype up the Windows platform. Including these: âWe are in the Windows era â" we were, we are, and we always will be.”
Business Insider reports this, and it was a response to a question by someone about the world being in a ‘Post-PC era’. There’s more:
“Through the power of Windows, the PC will be a tablet machine, will be a reading machine, will be a note-taking machine.”
I think it’s an overstatement to say that the world will always be in a Windows era, although domination-wise currently one would have to sort of agree. But it’s quite a cocky thing to say considering the heavy competition, that’s for sure.
Do you agree?
