The guys at Research In Motion have been having something of a hard time of it lately. The makers of the original business phone, the BlackBerry, were also at the receiving end of accusations about their sordid and unbending company culture last week by one of their own top brass. These days, other manufacturers have also taken a look at their niche and taken a significant chunk out of their revenues pie through their own offerings.
The LG Optimus Pro is the newest in the line of such business oriented smartphones. The Android World blog has managed to get their hands on a few shots of the phone.
Personally, I think it follows the BlackBerry design idea to make it easier for existing owners ot switch to this device, but still manages to look tackier and more plasticky. But maybe that’s just the pictures. The people at the blog say the spec sheet will run Gingerbread on a a 2.8 inch screen, and also have a three megapixel camera, a full QWERTY, an 800MHz processor, and a price tag of around $250. Don’t expect a BB Messenger!
