Facebook Bans Google+ ads

Evidently, the Zuckerburg and co. don’t take too kindly to you posting ads of your google profile on facebook. so much so that they went so far as to ban a user who posted a Google+ ad on facebook.

Michael Lee Johnson ran an add on facebook saying “Add michael to Google+”. Shortly afterward slashdot reports that facebook sent him a message saying

“Your account has been disabled. All of your adverts have been stopped and should not be run again on the site under any circumstances. Generally, we disable an account if too many of its adverts violate our Terms of Use or Advertising guidelines. Unfortunately we cannot provide you with the specific violations that have been deemed abusive. Please review our Terms of Use and Advertising guidelines if you have any further questions. ”

In Facebooks defense, their ToS clearly states the prohibition of advertising competing services on facebook.
