Baidu’s new browser seems oddly reminiscent

By the looks of things the folks over at Google.inc wont be too happy about Baidu’s latest browser offering. Let’s just say it looks an awful lot like a browser we’ve seen before. *cough*Chrome*cough*

This new browser from Baidu is said to bring a “sleek, stripped down interface” and most probably took a leaf out of Google’s chromium handbook. But if the aesthetic similarities don’t get to you Engadget is also reporting that it has an app store, fast tab functionality and even a menu icon placed in a familiar location. What sets them apart is they claim to have over 30,000 apps in addition to china specific entertainment features.
