Iomega to cater to both consumers and businesses at Gitex

Press release: Data protection leader Iomega will underscore the diversity of its solution range for Middle East users with both consumer- and business-focused solutions being launched in the region for the first time at GITEX 2011.

For the growing number of Apple addicts across the Middle East, Iomega will feature portable, durable hard drives for Mac products, including the companion drive with charging and port capabilities as well as the Helium option â€" a resilient and secure way to store, share and back-up Mac files.

For the region’s business users, Iomega will showcase new Iomega StorCenter PX Series of network storage products, created to meet the needs of smaller and medium-sized businesses, including the Iomega StorCenter px12-350r Network Storage Array.Ă‚  Leveraging Iomega’s legacy as part of EMC and the Iomega Personal Cloud technology, these solutions allow users to protect and share data by connecting their Iomega StorCenter network storage array devices to other individual devices via the Internet, delivering a path for growth to the region’s SMB community.

“The major trend driving Iomega’s participation at GITEX 2011 is rise of the SMB organizations in the region, which has data equally as vital to the success of that business as a larger company’s content.Ă‚  Iomega is offering small businesses and consumers a great value for cloud access and protection, with its Personal Cloud technology, that is completely self-owned,” said Cizar Abughazaleh, general manager for Iomega in the Middle East and Asia.

“Innovating in both the business and consumer sectors for data protection is a hallmark for Iomega in the Middle East and we expect that our new network attached storage solutions and Mac hard drives will be an ideal fit with GITEX visitors in 2011,” he added.

Iomega, an EMC company, can be found in hall 4 at stand 401.
