Amazon has been sending out rather vaguely worded emails to many news publications over the weekend, requesting attendance at a press conference this Wednesday, 28th September. With nothing big on the horizon except the elusive Kindle Tablet, this seems to be the star of the show.
In case any of you forgot, the Kindle Tablet most likely coming out will be a 7″ device running a fully customized version of Android, with the basic 16GB version expected to sell for $250. Apart from the Kindle Tablet, Amazon is also expected to announce the 4th generation Kindle ebook readers as well.
Priced at $250, the Amazon Kindle Tablet is expected to be the biggest threat to the 68% worldwide market dominance of Apple’s iPad. In fact, Forrestor Research believes that the Kindle Tablet will easily move between 3 to 5 million units by the end of this year.
