aaaaathose who have seen any preview screenshots of Windows 8, know that it will host a radical new interface inspired from touch screens. Its very tablet-friendly and inspired from Windows Phone 7. But it isn’t due to make its proper debut until sometime in 2012. So, if you are in a hurry to jump to its user interface band wagon then there are some utilities which will mimic Windows 8 interface on Windows 7.
aaaaa aaaaaWhat you will need is Omnimo 4 skin for the free skinning software Rainmeter. This skin does a remarkably good impression of the Windows 8 tile view. Thereâs a big variety of add-ons on offer including email, calendars, weather and RSS feeds but because it is just a skin you wonât get the full-screen apps or task switching promised by the real Windows 8. But its a start to get the big tiles based interface.
