Apple rolls out Apple Store 2.0

Not exactly the online store update some were expecting, but starting off in Australia, Apple rolled out Apple Store 2.0 to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first ever Apple Store- something we have yet to see in the Middle East. The new 2.0 version of Apple Store replaces all of the paper signs, cards and information by fully interactive iPad 2s running an information-providing application. You can now easily view features, pricing and other information about Apple products through these iPads which seem to be embedded in the wooden store tables.

Additionally, it appears that through these iPads you can press a button to call for assistance from an in-store Apple employee (or “Specialist”). From the looks of it, these employees are wearing special Apple devices on lanyards to respond to these calls.
