Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is continuing to loose its dominance, according to a report from NetMarketShare, which revealed an overall marketshare of 52.81%, down 0.87% since last month.
On the other side, Internet Explorer 9 seems to be picking up, now taking 6.8% of the total web browser market, a gain of 1.1%. IE 9′s browser share is now higher than IE 7, however it still lags behind IE 6′s 9.2% and IE 8′s 29.3%, latter being the most used browser in the world.
For the second spot, Google Chrome 12 pulled up impressive punches against Firefox to capture the spot with 11.19% marketshare, whereas Firefox 5 managed 10.41%. Opera’s latest 11.x browser only managed 1.31% of the marketshare.
