Gmail revamp revealed in leaked video

Always known for adding small but helpful new features to their e-mail service, Google’s Gmail is set for quite a facelift in the near future if a leaked video is to be believed. The leaked video made its way on Youtube and was quickly blocked on copyright grounds, but revealed some great new improvements for the service.

The new features include an advanced search box, a much cleaner look and the ability to add high resolution images as backgrounds. But the highlight feature is how the user interface will automatically resize depending on the size of the window.

Also, the new version will give multiple emails to the same person a chat-style interface instead of the standard e-mail thread interface. An ability to resize chat windows as well as labels and the option to add a profile picture are some of the other features presented in the video.

Looking at the swift response in deleting the video, it’s most likely legitimate and users should see an official announcement of the features sometime very soon.
