New MacBook Pros now available

The new Steve Jobs biography maybe all the rage right now for Apple fans, but let’s not ignore product revisions as time moves on. Starting today customers can buy the new updates on the 2011 MacBook Pro models.

The new hardware revisions carry throughout the range, starting off with the 13 inch models which get an upgraded processor choice between 2.4GHz Core i5 and 2.8GHz Core i7 dual-core CPUs; a 100MHz bump from the previous models. The hard drives also see a measurable bump: 500GB for the entry level model and 750GB for the high-end version; both running at 5,400rpm.

The 15 inch models get quad-core Core i7 2.2GHz and 2.4GHz, a 200MHz upgrade from previous models. Instead of HDD upgrades, we get a bump in graphical prowess, with the entry model 15 inch coming with a AMD HD 6750M with 512MB instead of the old HD 6490M with 256MB of RAM. The higher end model gets a GPU upgrade from the old HD 6750M with 1GB to a HD 6770M with 1GB of memory. The 17 inch model gets the same specs as the high-end 15 inch models: Core i7 2.4GHz quad-core CPU plus HD 6770M with 1GB of RAM, up from Core i7 2.2GHz and HD 6750M 1GB.

All round these are worthy upgrades, especially the entry level 13 and 15 inch models as they seem to get the most powerful upgrades compared to previous specs from the entire lineup. Apple is already selling these models with free shipping in UAE.
