Did Monday's Apple announcement get you excited about iCloud? Well, then you should run off and download the latest version of iTunes — because it will bring you some of those shiny new iCloud features.a

With iTunes 10.3 you'll get to take advantage of the iTunes in the Cloud feature in particular. This means that you'll be able to automatically download music purchased through iTunes to all of your iOS devices.a

Other iCloud features, such as iTunes Match — a service which gives you streamable 256 kbps AAC DRM-free versions of your tunes if Apple can match them to the over 18 million songs in the iTunes Store — sadly won't be available until the fall though.a

You can get iTunes 10.3 via the iTunes Update feature or through Apple's website right now.a

Note: Before you go download the application — especially if you have a Verizon iPhone — check out the requirements listed for iTunes in the Cloud:a

Automatic downloads and downloading of purchase history available in beta now and require iOS 4.3.3 on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 (GSM model), iPod touch (3rd and 4th generation), iPad, or iPad 2, or a Mac or PC with iTunes 10.3.a

Notice that the CDMA iPhone model — the Verizon version — is left off this list. It runs iOS 4.2.8 instead of 4.3.3. Does this mean that Verizon iPhone owners are stuck waiting until the next iOS release before they can try iTunes in the cloud?a
