Autodesk Photo scene editor – convert 2D photos to 3D model

aaaaaAutoDesk Photo scene editor (also known as: Project Photofly) is an incredible app which makes 3D models from 2D photos. All you need is a reasonable camera to take photos from all around the object. and then you select all photos in photo scene editor. The software calculates that from which angle you have taken the photos. Then tries to generate a 3D model from point cloud data of the object. It isn’t 100% perfect but really great looking model is prepared. check the software in action below:

aaaaaThe software is currently in “Autodesk Labs” which means that for now it is totally free to download and use in research stage.
