LG and Fujitsu Ready to Launch Quad-Core Superphone

Forget dual-core smartphone. Vendor LG Electronics and Fujitsu will launch quad-core processor superphone Nvidia Tegra 3.

The plan, the vendor is going to introduce superphone at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona Spain, February 27, 2012.

Based on a press release from LG, Tegra processor 3 has 4 plus 1 core design that gives a battery life and longer music playback features, like speed of 12 core GPU.

That's why smart phones are supported by the chip that is claimed to provide computing power for the console-quality game.

It also provides better battery life than dual core mobile processor.

The following phone specification that will be introduced by LG and Fujitsu:

CPU: 1.5GHz Quad-Core processor (NVIDIA Tegra 3)
GPU: 12-core
Screen: 4.7 inch (1,280 x 720 pixels) True HD IPS
Internal Memory: 16GB EMMC
Camera: 8MP Backside Illumination Sensor (Rear) and 1.3MP (Home)
OS: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Dimensions: 8.9mm thick

Fujitsu Superphone
CPU: NVIDIA Tegra 3 (Maximum Quad Core 1.5GHz + Core Companion)
Display: 4.6 inches
Camera: 13.1 megapixel (front)
Waterproof, dust-proof and equipped with a fingerprint sensor
OS: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Reportedly, Fujitsu will be given Superphone Wimax network connection and LTE (Long Term Evolution / 4G). More specific information will be known at the MWC event on February 27, 2012.
