Former NIH Employee In Scheme To Steal Computers

A former National Institutes of Health (NIH) employee pleaded guilty to making false statements on a tax return and making false statements in connection with an investigation of computers stolen from the federal government.

Leon Jones was an employee of the NIH, responsible for surplus computer parts at NIH s Gaithersburg, Md. Distribution Center (GDC). Jones allegedly received $150,000 in return for computers that he had stolen from the GDC.
